Differentiating between Coaching and Consulting
There are distinct differences between coaching and consulting; yet they work together effectively. Coaching facilitates needed changes and supports an individual or organization through the implementation of solutions. Coaching is instrumental in supporting the process and transition and ensuring changes are sustainable resulting in meaningful, long-term change. On the other hand, consultants bring a specific skill, experience or process that helps drive to a solution with a particular situation or challenge. Coaching and consulting can work very well together; however, it is important to understand the distinction between them.
